12th August 2015 Ghazzala Zubair

We’re having a very ‘portraiture’ themed week at Thortful HQ, so we thought we’d turn to one of the young creatives we’ve featured in the past – Flore Maquin. You may remember her portrait of Samuel L Jackson in Pulp Fiction from a month ago, and this time we thought we’d feature another modern cinematic portrait of hers. “I Kill the Bus Driver” is, that’s right, a portrait of a masked Heath Ledger playing the joker in the Dark Knight.

As for Flore, well, we didn’t say much about her last time, which is a crying shame because she’s an exceptionally talented graphic designer from Lyon, France. Her dynamic portraiture is mainly taken from as many cult-classic sci-fi and action movies you can think of, from ‘Leon’ to ‘Fight Club’ but she has also designed for the Festival Lumière 2014 and the French band Nue Sur Le Bitume. We think she’s excellent, so check out her instagram, her personal website, and her twitter to connect.
