Support for Creators during the pandemic

Team thortful are really grateful for our community of Creators, now more than ever. As we all adapt to our new normal, living through a global pandemic, we want to continue to support our community as best we can. As many of our living circumstances have changed and some detrimentally, I thought it was only right for me to draw on some of the resources I have come across in the past few weeks, which may offer some much needed relief or support.

Government support

The good people of Enterprise Nation, who have been supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses for over 15 years, have produced a document containing all of the latest government support for small businesses and the self-employed. It is updated daily so a great resource to revisit every so often.

Grants

A couple of large corporations and non-profit organisations have pledged funds to support small businesses and creatives during this time, through grants & free resources:

The Prince’s Trust and NatWest Enterprise Relief Fund

The Β£5million Enterprise Relief Fund will offer grants to 18 to 30 year olds across the UK who are self-employed and/or running their own business. In conjunction with cash grants, the initiative will offer one-to-one support and guidance to anyone who needs it and who may be worried about their future.
