How is James inspired from Halloween then?

For us Australians, Halloween isn’t particularly celebrated the way it is in other countries, but for me, it’s an opportunity to regain that fun, warm sense of community that we grew up with and reintroduce ourselves to our surrounding neighbourhood. Creative typography is always appreciated, especially when it also includes food photography. That’s how we discovered the work of Victoria Black, a letterer & graphic designer that is obsessed with typography, as well as donuts.

She decided to take her creativity to the next level by creating the Food Lettering project, along with the talented photographer Vanessa Rees. Vanessa took the photos and suggested the lovely recipes, while Victoria was inspired by them to create the hand-lettering.

Introducing Illustrator Donghyun Lim

Monday is not just about #MotivationMonday quotes, that’s why we are always looking for new opportunities to feel creative and get inspired. Today we are introducing Donghyun Lim, an illustrator from Seoul that expresses himself through his colourful illustrations.

We were impressed by his creative ‘Eat Share Love’ project for the application, Light-Up, but also from his combination of illustration and typography for the creation of his own alphabet, with each letter having a visual representation for it.
