Here at Thortful we love design that looks great and has utility. So when we stumbled upon Sarah Strandoo’s reinvention of Shakespeare’s classics, we fell in love.

Strandoo’s aim was to create budget-oriented covers that had a fresh, contemporary look, and made Shakespeare’s plays more attractive and accessible to young people as well as affordable for schools and universities.

A San-Francisco born and UK-based art director, graphic designer and illustrator, Strandoo’s crisp, fresh work earned the 2014 British Book Design & Production Award, and a space on the shortlist for the MacLehose Press. You can check her website out here, or here on Behance. Support a young creative and celebrate her work.
